The Parade GroundThe Parade Ground is centered on the axis of the Amphitheater and the Memorial Garden. Adjacent to the place of The Fallen Friend, the Parade Ground is ideal for military ceremonies, marching bands, and public gatherings. |
The BattleIn this sculpture by Jesus Moroles, granite megaliths, cleaved by large metal planes recall silhouettes of ruins. Occasionally, when the wind is just right, the metal planes will strike the granite megaliths and make a low, resonant sound, recalling the line from John Donne's poem: "Therefore, send not to ask for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for thee." |
