Medal Of Honor Plaza

Picture
This area was created to recognize all of the brave men and women who earned the Medal of Honor in their support of a grateful nation.

Sponsored by the Medal of Honor Society, the courtyard contains five Medal of Honor rose bushes, each one representing a point in the star of the Medal of Honor award.

The bricks are as varied as the heroes they honor. They represent heroes from 1873-NM Territory, a Buffalo Soldier from 1881, France WWI, the Philippines 1909, Somalia 1993, Korea 1953, and Vietnam 1965.

The development of the Medal of Honor Plaza remains in its infancy and will grow as more funding is received. Please contact the New Mexico Veterans’ Memorial at (505) 768-4495 to arrange a donation.
