Michele LaMontagne is the Manager for Leadership and Organizational Development at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Michele leads programs that focus on improving organizational capability and maintaining organizational health through the alignment of strategy, structure, people, and processes. Additionally, she is responsible for growing and developing leaders through leadership training and development programs, and coaching.
Prior to arriving at Sandia, Michele spent 18 years at Rio Grande, Inc. serving as the Director of Human Resources as well as the Director of Training and Development.
Michele served 8 years in the active-duty Air Force before transitioning to the New Mexico Air National Guard where she has been for 23 years. She currently serves as the Assistant Adjutant General for the New Mexico Air National Guard. She is the senior military advisor to the Governor and Adjutant General, commanding 1,000 airmen and leading contingency and domestic operations in federal and state emergencies.
Michele received her bachelor’s degree in Human Factors Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy. She earned her master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Troy University. Michele is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. She is also a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation (Professional Certified Coach).
