Memorial Park

The New Mexico Veterans Memorial offers over 30 unique venues to remember and honor experiences share by our courageous veterans. It is a special place of peace and pride.
Picture
A special place to respect our veterans past, present, and future who have served our country here and throughout the world.

The design of the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park is intended to speak to all veterans about their experience. From the moment of decision to become a member in service to one’s homeland, to the return home, veterans share certain experiences and memories. The design evokes those memories.

The Memorial Rose Garden is located in the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park at the southern end of Phil Chacon Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is a unique place to recall experiences common to many veterans such as The Call, The Preparation, The Battle, The Conversations, The Word From Home, The Fallen Friend, and The Homecoming.

The gardens, the sculptures, and the beautiful Sandia Mountains provide settings for memories, but the memories of the visitors themselves are the true memorial. Covering 25 landscaped acres, the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park provides places for reflection and celebration of those that answered the call.
