Paratrooper Monument

Paratroopers are soldiers trained in parachuting and generally operate as part of an airborne force. They provide a tactical advantage as they can enter the battlefield from the air, allowing paratroopers to be positioned in areas not accessible by land.

This monument was sponsored by the LOBO All Airborne Chapter (part of the 82nd Airborne Division Association).

When finished, the monument will represent all five of the airborne divisions in WWII: 11th Airborne, 13th Airborne, 17th Airborne, 82nd Airborne, and 101st Airborne.
